Tobacco refill pack IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Tobacco in Maputo: 9 units tested over 6 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Tobacco is allowed to say
We run tobacco the same way in Maputo: same refill pack, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A tobacco refill pack from the flat-rate options in Mozambique costs about MT2.91 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a tobacco refill pack really costs in Maputo
Tobacco refill pack reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 9 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested tobacco in a refill pack
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.91 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tobacco in Maputo survives.
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Tobacco | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | refill pack | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 9 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~6 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT54 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.91 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
How much does a refill pack cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.91 per 10 ml liquid plus MT54 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should tobacco start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a refill pack.
Why does tobacco taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the tobacco blend itself harsh.
