Sourcherry vape pen IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Sourcherry in Maputo: 23 units tested over 9 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
The honest read on sourcherry: 23 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run sourcherry the same way in Maputo: same vape pen, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the vape pen you buy decides how long sourcherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sourcherry vape pen really costs in Maputo
A sourcherry vape pen from the starter options in Mozambique costs about MT3.31 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested sourcherry in a vape pen
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a sourcherry bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sourcherry bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Mixing sourcherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised MT41 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.31 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should sourcherry start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a vape pen.
Why does sourcherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the sourcherry blend itself harsh.
