Tobacco mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Tobacco in Maputo: 24 units tested over 9 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good mesh tank from a repack
Tobacco in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
A tobacco mesh tank from the online options in Mozambique costs about MT2.51 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: tobacco in Maputo works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tobacco mesh tank really costs in Maputo
We run tobacco the same way in Maputo: same mesh tank, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested tobacco in a mesh tank
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tobacco bottle shipped into Mozambique.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Mixing tobacco with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On tobacco the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.51 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Why does tobacco taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the tobacco blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
