Home / Plain pen device IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist

Where buyers go wrong with plain in Mozambique

There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.

Plain pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 24 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.

If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

What a plain pen device really costs in Maputo

Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.

How we tested plain in a pen device

1. Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
2. Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
3. Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.

• Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
• Spare parts availability for pen device in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
• The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
• Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.

Where plain goes wrong

• Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
• Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
• Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.

The rules that apply here

Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
