Licorice box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 18 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long licorice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a licorice box mod really costs in Maputo
A licorice box mod from the starter options in Mozambique costs about MT1.99 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested licorice in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long licorice in Maputo survives.
- Treating the advertised MT36 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.99 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for licorice in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.

Not automatically. On licorice the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT1.99 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.99 per 10 ml liquid plus MT36 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
