What a licorice squonk mod really costs in Maputo
The honest read on licorice: 10 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested licorice in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every licorice bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT29 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.32 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On licorice the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.32 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
