Guava pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Guava in Maputo: 17 units tested over 3 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Guava is allowed to say
A guava pod kit from the best options in Mozambique costs about MT1.69 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run guava the same way in Maputo: same pod kit, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: guava in Maputo works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a guava pod kit really costs in Maputo
Guava in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested guava in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every guava bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where guava goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why guava tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long guava in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for guava in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
