Caramel refill pack IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Caramel in Maputo: 21 units tested over 5 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
Caramel in Maputo reaches the shelf in refill pack formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The honest read on caramel: 21 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 21 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a caramel refill pack really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested caramel in a refill pack
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT61 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.86 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing caramel with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Caramel | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | refill pack | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 21 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~5 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT61 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT1.86 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On caramel the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT1.86 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does caramel taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the caramel blend itself harsh.
