Herbal starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Herbal in Maputo: 20 units tested over 9 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good starter kit from a repack
A herbal starter kit from the starter options in Mozambique costs about MT2.69 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Herbal in Maputo reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long herbal tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a herbal starter kit really costs in Maputo
Herbal prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.69 per 10 ml.
How we tested herbal in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a herbal bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long herbal in Maputo survives.
- Treating the advertised MT50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.69 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does herbal taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the herbal blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should herbal start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
