Herbal pen device IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Herbal in Maputo: 12 units tested over 5 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the herbal habit
The honest read on herbal: 12 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Herbal sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 12 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a herbal pen device really costs in Maputo
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested herbal in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a herbal bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing herbal with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the herbal blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On herbal the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.94 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Is herbal legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
