Guava sub-ohm kit IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Guava in Maputo: 8 units tested over 8 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Guava sub-ohm kit here
We run guava the same way in Maputo: same sub-ohm kit, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Below is the run we did for this search: 8 units, sub-ohm kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a guava sub-ohm kit really costs in Maputo
Guava prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.98 per 10 ml.
How we tested guava in a sub-ohm kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a guava bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where guava goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why guava tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a sub-ohm kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest sub-ohm kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
Is guava legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
How long does guava in a sub-ohm kit last?
In Maputo we measured 8 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does guava taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the guava blend itself harsh.
