Fig mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Fig in Maputo: 15 units tested over 3 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Fig mesh tank here
The honest read on fig: 15 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run fig the same way in Maputo: same mesh tank, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: fig in Maputo works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a fig mesh tank really costs in Maputo
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested fig in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a fig bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where fig goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing fig with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised MT29 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.56 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
