Grapey pen device IQOS in Maputo: the cheap shortlist
Grapey in Maputo: 16 units tested over 3 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
We run grapey the same way in Maputo: same pen device, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: grapey in Maputo works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a grapey pen device really costs in Maputo
The honest read on grapey: 16 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested grapey in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a grapey bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.09 per 10 ml.
- Mixing grapey with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for grapey in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Grapey | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | pen device | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 16 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~7 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT43 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.09 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is grapey legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does grapey taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the grapey blend itself harsh.
