Tobacco 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Tobacco in Maputo: 12 units tested over 3 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good 30 ml shortfill from a repack
A tobacco 30 ml shortfill from the online options in Mozambique costs about MT2.33 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.33 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested tobacco in a 30 ml shortfill
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tobacco bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Mixing tobacco with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised MT42 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.33 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a 30 ml shortfill that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should tobacco start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 30 ml shortfill.
Why does tobacco taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the tobacco blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
