Cherry mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Cherry in Maputo: 16 units tested over 8 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good mesh tank from a repack
Cherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.03 per 10 ml.
We run cherry the same way in Maputo: same mesh tank, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long cherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cherry mesh tank really costs in Maputo
We run cherry the same way in Maputo: same mesh tank, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested cherry in a mesh tank
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long cherry in Maputo survives.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT3.03 per 10 ml liquid plus MT46 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should cherry start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
Why does cherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the cherry blend itself harsh.
