Caramel cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Caramel in Maputo: 23 units tested over 2 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
Caramel sounds like one product. It is not: a cartomizer running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: caramel in Maputo works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a caramel cartomizer really costs in Maputo
Caramel prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.12 per 10 ml.
How we tested caramel in a cartomizer
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a caramel bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why caramel tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should caramel start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT3.12 per 10 ml liquid plus MT52 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does caramel in a cartomizer last?
In Maputo we measured 2 to 23 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
