Caramel in Maputo: 19 units tested over 4 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good cartomizer from a repack
If you are looking at caramel in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you are looking at caramel in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long caramel tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a caramel cartomizer really costs in Maputo
A caramel cartomizer from the flat-rate options in Mozambique costs about MT2.32 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested caramel in a cartomizer
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a caramel bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long caramel in Maputo survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does caramel taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the caramel blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should caramel start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
How long does caramel in a cartomizer last?
In Maputo we measured 4 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
