Vanilla pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the wholesale shortlist
Vanilla in Maputo: 22 units tested over 4 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Vanilla pod kit here
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.12 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long vanilla tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a vanilla pod kit really costs in Maputo
We run vanilla the same way in Maputo: same pod kit, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested vanilla in a pod kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every vanilla bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing vanilla with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
