Vanilla starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Vanilla in Maputo: 18 units tested over 3 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Vanilla is allowed to say
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Vanilla starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 18 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: vanilla in Maputo works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla starter kit really costs in Maputo
Vanilla in Maputo reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested vanilla in a starter kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every vanilla bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised MT36 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.88 per 10 ml.
- Mixing vanilla with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for vanilla in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Vanilla | Decides coil choice more than strength does |

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~5 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT36 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.88 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is vanilla legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
How long does vanilla in a starter kit last?
In Maputo we measured 3 to 18 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should vanilla start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
