Vanilla box mod IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Vanilla in Maputo: 18 units tested over 4 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with vanilla in Mozambique
Vanilla in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Below is the run we did for this search: 18 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a vanilla box mod really costs in Maputo
We run vanilla the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested vanilla in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every vanilla bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised MT38 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.93 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
