Tropical nicotine salt bottle IQOS in Maputo: the cheap shortlist — Iqosmozambique
Tropical in Maputo: 8 units tested over 8 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Tropical is allowed to say
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.71 per 10 ml.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: tropical in Maputo works if the nicotine salt bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical nicotine salt bottle really costs in Maputo
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a nicotine salt bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested tropical in a nicotine salt bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the nicotine salt bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tropical tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a nicotine salt bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tropical in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for tropical in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
