Sour 60 ml bottle IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Sour in Maputo: 13 units tested over 4 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sour habit
If you are looking at sour in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the 60 ml bottle you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.14 per 10 ml.
The short version: sour in Maputo works if the 60 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour 60 ml bottle really costs in Maputo
Sour in Maputo reaches the shelf in 60 ml bottle formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested sour in a 60 ml bottle
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Spare parts availability for 60 ml bottle in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where sour goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest 60 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
