Tropical 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Tropical in Maputo: 20 units tested over 4 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The honest read on tropical: 20 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical 30 ml shortfill really costs in Maputo
A tropical 30 ml shortfill from the flat-rate options in Mozambique costs about MT3.59 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested tropical in a 30 ml shortfill
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tropical in Maputo survives.
- Treating the advertised MT35 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.59 per 10 ml.
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How much does a 30 ml shortfill cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT3.59 per 10 ml liquid plus MT35 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
