Tropical 10 ml bottle IQOS in Maputo: the cheap shortlist
Tropical in Maputo: 6 units tested over 7 weeks, 10 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the tropical habit
The honest read on tropical: 6 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Tropical in Maputo reaches the shelf in 10 ml bottle formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: tropical in Maputo works if the 10 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical 10 ml bottle really costs in Maputo
Tropical in Maputo reaches the shelf in 10 ml bottle formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested tropical in a 10 ml bottle
- Pick the 10 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 10 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised MT67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.6 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a 10 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for tropical in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should tropical start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 10 ml bottle.
How long does tropical in a 10 ml bottle last?
In Maputo we measured 7 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a 10 ml bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.6 per 10 ml liquid plus MT67 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
