Tobacco cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Tobacco in Maputo: 10 units tested over 9 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
If you are looking at tobacco in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Tobacco sounds like one product. It is not: a cartomizer running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: tobacco in Maputo works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tobacco cartomizer really costs in Maputo
A tobacco cartomizer from the flat-rate options in Mozambique costs about MT2.33 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested tobacco in a cartomizer
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tobacco bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tobacco tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised MT63 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.33 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does tobacco taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the tobacco blend itself harsh.
How long does tobacco in a cartomizer last?
In Maputo we measured 9 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
