Tobacco box mod IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Tobacco in Maputo: 19 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Tobacco is allowed to say
Tobacco in Maputo reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The honest read on tobacco: 19 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco box mod really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested tobacco in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tobacco in Maputo survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Why does tobacco taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the tobacco blend itself harsh.
How long does tobacco in a box mod last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.19 per 10 ml liquid plus MT44 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
