Sweet starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Sweet in Maputo: 13 units tested over 7 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Sweet starter kit here
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Sweet prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.62 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 13 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sweet starter kit really costs in Maputo
Sweet sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested sweet in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sweet tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.62 per 10 ml liquid plus MT48 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
