Frozen pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Frozen in Maputo: 20 units tested over 5 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with frozen in Mozambique
Frozen in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: frozen in Maputo works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a frozen pod kit really costs in Maputo
Frozen sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested frozen in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On frozen the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.29 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Why does frozen taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the frozen blend itself harsh.

Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
