Sweet pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Sweet in Maputo: 15 units tested over 2 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Sweet pod kit here
Sweet pod kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you are looking at sweet in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long sweet tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sweet pod kit really costs in Maputo
A sweet pod kit from the starter options in Mozambique costs about MT2.05 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested sweet in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing sweet with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.05 per 10 ml liquid plus MT68 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should sweet start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
