Where buyers go wrong with salted in Mozambique
We run salted the same way in Maputo: same 10 ml bottle, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.67 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 21 units, 10 ml bottle, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a salted 10 ml bottle really costs in Maputo
A salted 10 ml bottle from the bulk options in Mozambique costs about MT2.67 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested salted in a 10 ml bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the 10 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the 10 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where salted goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a 10 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Buying the cheapest 10 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
