Sweet box mod IQOS in Maputo: the price shortlist
Sweet in Maputo: 16 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
We run sweet the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The honest read on sweet: 16 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: sweet in Maputo works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sweet box mod really costs in Maputo
The honest read on sweet: 16 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested sweet in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sweet bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sweet tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

| Entry kit | MT47 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT3.35 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |
