Salted pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Salted in Maputo: 9 units tested over 4 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Salted sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a salted pod kit really costs in Maputo
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.88 per 10 ml.
How we tested salted in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where salted goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On salted the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT1.88 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Is salted legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
