Sourcherry sub-ohm kit IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Sourcherry in Maputo: 10 units tested over 2 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good sub-ohm kit from a repack
Sourcherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.89 per 10 ml.
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you only read one line: the sub-ohm kit you buy decides how long sourcherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sourcherry sub-ohm kit really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at sourcherry in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the sub-ohm kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested sourcherry in a sub-ohm kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a sub-ohm kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sourcherry tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest sub-ohm kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should sourcherry start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a sub-ohm kit.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does sourcherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the sourcherry blend itself harsh.
