Sourcherry starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Sourcherry in Maputo: 17 units tested over 7 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
The honest read on sourcherry: 17 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Sourcherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.67 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 17 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sourcherry starter kit really costs in Maputo
Sourcherry in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested sourcherry in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Mixing sourcherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sourcherry in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
