How we tested Sour sub-ohm kit here
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.

The short version: sour in Maputo works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour sub-ohm kit really costs in Maputo
Sour sub-ohm kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested sour in a sub-ohm kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where sour goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a sub-ohm kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a sub-ohm kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~7 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT36 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT1.99 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT1.99 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a sub-ohm kit.
