Sour refill pack IQOS in Maputo: the cheap shortlist
Sour in Maputo: 14 units tested over 2 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What sour costs in Maputo
The honest read on sour: 14 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Sour sounds like one product. It is not: a refill pack running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour refill pack really costs in Maputo
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.93 per 10 ml.
How we tested sour in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where sour goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for sour in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.93 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a refill pack.
