Sour RDA IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Sour in Maputo: 8 units tested over 9 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Sour in Maputo reaches the shelf in RDA formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: sour in Maputo works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour RDA really costs in Maputo
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.57 per 10 ml.
How we tested sour in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where sour goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in Maputo survives.

Frequently asked questions
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.57 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a RDA.
