Lemon vape pen IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Lemon in Maputo: 10 units tested over 5 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good vape pen from a repack
Lemon sounds like one product. It is not: a vape pen running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
We run lemon the same way in Maputo: same vape pen, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: lemon in Maputo works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a lemon vape pen really costs in Maputo
Lemon in a vape pen is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested lemon in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every lemon bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a lemon bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why lemon tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On lemon the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.81 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Why does lemon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the lemon blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should lemon start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a vape pen.
