Sour 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Maputo: the wholesale shortlist
Sour in Maputo: 19 units tested over 3 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
Sour sounds like one product. It is not: a 30 ml shortfill running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
We run sour the same way in Maputo: same 30 ml shortfill, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: sour in Maputo works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour 30 ml shortfill really costs in Maputo
We run sour the same way in Maputo: same 30 ml shortfill, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sour in a 30 ml shortfill
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for 30 ml shortfill in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where sour goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in Maputo survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for sour in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT1.92 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
Is sour legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
