The short version: sour in Maputo works if the 100 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour 100 ml bottle really costs in Maputo
Sour in a 100 ml bottle is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested sour in a 100 ml bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the 100 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 100 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for 100 ml bottle in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the 100 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where sour goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a 100 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Sour | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | 100 ml bottle | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 22 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~4 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT29 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.1 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 100 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.1 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 100 ml bottle.
