Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
The honest read on salted: 22 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Below is the run we did for this search: 22 units, vape pen, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a salted vape pen really costs in Maputo
Salted in a vape pen is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested salted in a vape pen
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Spare parts availability for vape pen in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where salted goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a vape pen that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Treating the advertised MT45 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.13 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in Maputo survives.

Frequently asked questions
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
Is salted legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
What nicotine strength should salted start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a vape pen.
