Salted squonk mod IQOS in Maputo: the price shortlist
Salted in Maputo: 8 units tested over 6 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
We run salted the same way in Maputo: same squonk mod, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted squonk mod really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at salted in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the squonk mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested salted in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where salted goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why salted tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised MT54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.2 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for salted in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Salted | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | squonk mod | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 8 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~7 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT54 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.2 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is salted legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
What nicotine strength should salted start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
How long does salted in a squonk mod last?
In Maputo we measured 6 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
