Salted mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Salted in Maputo: 11 units tested over 3 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
Salted in Maputo reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Salted in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted mesh tank really costs in Maputo
We run salted the same way in Maputo: same mesh tank, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested salted in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where salted goes wrong
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised MT55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.53 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
