Iced box mod IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Iced in Maputo: 22 units tested over 2 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a box mod for iced
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The honest read on iced: 22 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced box mod really costs in Maputo
Iced box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested iced in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every iced bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where iced goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Treating the advertised MT67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.67 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for iced in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should iced start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On iced the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.67 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
