Plum prefilled pod IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Plum in Maputo: 14 units tested over 5 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Plum is allowed to say
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The honest read on plum: 14 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 14 units, prefilled pod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plum prefilled pod really costs in Maputo
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.33 per 10 ml.
How we tested plum in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where plum goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Maputo survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised MT62 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.33 per 10 ml.
