Mint RDA IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Mint in Maputo: 23 units tested over 6 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a RDA for mint
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Mint prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.86 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long mint tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mint RDA really costs in Maputo
We run mint the same way in Maputo: same RDA, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested mint in a RDA
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a mint bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where mint goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for mint in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
