Plum pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Plum in Maputo: 24 units tested over 8 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good pod kit from a repack
We run plum the same way in Maputo: same pod kit, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you are looking at plum in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plum pod kit really costs in Maputo
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested plum in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where plum goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing plum with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

| Coil life | ~4 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT64 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.65 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plum the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.65 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How long does plum in a pod kit last?
In Maputo we measured 8 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
