Plum cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Plum in Maputo: 8 units tested over 2 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the plum habit
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
We run plum the same way in Maputo: same cartomizer, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 8 units, cartomizer, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plum cartomizer really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested plum in a cartomizer
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where plum goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT62 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.93 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for plum in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

| Entry kit | MT62 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT1.93 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |
