Plain sub-ohm kit IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Plain in Maputo: 12 units tested over 9 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Plain in Maputo reaches the shelf in sub-ohm kit formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.92 per 10 ml.
The short version: plain in Maputo works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain sub-ohm kit really costs in Maputo
Plain in Maputo reaches the shelf in sub-ohm kit formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested plain in a sub-ohm kit
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a sub-ohm kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where plain goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a sub-ohm kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for plain in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~4 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT43 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.92 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |
