Plain RDA IQOS in Maputo: the wholesale shortlist
Plain in Maputo: 15 units tested over 4 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good RDA from a repack
Plain in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Plain RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: plain in Maputo works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain RDA really costs in Maputo
Plain RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested plain in a RDA
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where plain goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is plain legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plain the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.12 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should plain start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a RDA.
